How many visits should my Pet have?

This answer entirely depends on the nature of your pet and only you truly know how well they cope while you are away.

As a guide I find most clients prefer two visits a day where applicable to keep in line with their routine of morning and night feeds, however if you feel your pet will be comfortable with just the one visit per day this option is also available and common. In rare situations I can also visit 3 times a day if your pet requires extra care and attention (kittens/ senior cats).

Please note booking requests for longer term sitting (2-4 weeks or more) are accepted on a case by case basis. With the pet's welfare in mind, if I feel adequate food, care or visits are not being provided I may not feel comfortable accepting the assignment. It will ultimately depend on the pet's nature and the individual situation, I'm open to discussing all options.

Booking requests with visiting less than once a day (every second day or more etc) will NOT be accepted or even considered, again with the pets' welfare in mind. Minimum once daily.

Are you insured and have a police check?

Yes absolutely!

Obviously a big component of pet sitting is being provided with and responsible for client's house keys and entering private residential homes.

Therefore it is paramount to be covered by Public Liability Insurance and hold a National Police Clearance, which I have both of these. You can view these documents by signing up to the website on the Terms & Conditions page.

When do you require keys to my house?

As part of my service and being able to care for your pets in your own home, I will of course need a spare set of your house keys (and security codes if necessary).

Keys are usually provided at the initial consultation prior to service commencing, however if this is not possible they can either be dropped off to me in Kingsford before you leave, or I also offer a pick up and drop off service with a small fee ($20) charged to cover time and travel. Upon service completion, your keys can either be left in agreed safe spot inside your home on the last visit or they can be dropped off to you upon your return from holiday (the service charge covers pick up and drop off).

Please rest assured that your keys will always be kept safe and not identified with any names or address at all.

What happens if I return home early or get delayed?

If your plans have changed and you know you will be home early from holidays, please advise me as soon as possible so I do not make any unnecessary scheduled service calls to your house, however as I have already blocked this time for your visits I am unable to provide credits or refunds for early returns.

On the other side, if you are going to be delayed and require extra visits, again please notify me as soon as possible so I can advise if I am available or not and you can make alternative arrangements if need be. I will always contact you prior to the last visit to check if you are returning as per planned schedule. I can then either hold onto the keys or leave them inside as per your instruction. I don't want hungry pets being left due to flight delays etc!

What happens if my Pet becomes sick while I'm away?

As part of the booking process,  you will be emailed a 'Intake form' to complete which you can advise of your pet's usual vet clinic, any medications required to be administered and your emergency contact details. I will go through this from at the initial consultation in your home and can discuss any other necessary details.

Please advise me as soon as possible if your pet does fall ill or is prescribed medication after  our initial consultation so we can discuss this prior to the visits commencing. In the event anything does happen to your pet whilst you are away, I will contact yourself and your nominated Vet of choice immediately (or a nearby 24 hour vet clinic if need be) and keep you updated.

Do you take your own photos?

Yes I do!

As part of visiting and caring for your pet/s, I also enjoy capturing beautiful photographic memories (where possible) and sharing these with you.

I also post these beautiful photos on Instagram and Facebook.

Its all part of my dedicated service and adds an extra touch at no extra charge!

Do you only visit Cats?

No I don't :)

Predominately my bookings are for cats, however I am open and available to visit all animals, including small dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, lizards and chickens.
